The Nuro R2 cars not have driver serves pizza delivery in Houston.

The self-driving car is launched for pizza delivery service in Houston, Texas, USA. According to The Verge, this is a test run by Dimino’s Pizza in collaboration with Nuro Robotics.

The Nuro R2 driverless car can deliver pizza to customers who order from Woodland Heights stores in Houston, but only for those who have paid in advance and have a specific location and time.

Domino and Nuro have been collaborating on the technology since 2019. Customers who have already ordered and paid online will receive a PIN, and when the car arrives at the location, they can use that code to open the car door.

The Nuro R2 was the first unmanned vehicle to be licensed by the US Department of Transportation in February 2020. It is also equipped with various security technologies to prevent fraud.

In fact, the Nuro was already used to transport goods from the CVS Pharmacy in Houston, and in April it was used for medical supplies to two stadiums in California to treat Covid-19.
