Overseas: According to a BBC report on Monday morning, the Tunisian president announced the removal of the Prime Minister and the suspension of the National Assembly after the violence.

Protests by citizens erupted in the country.

Thousands of protesters, who have expressed anger at the government, especially over the resolution of the ជovid crisis, have taken to the streets and clashed with the country's police.

President Kais Saied has announced that he will take full responsibility for the issue, with the help of the new prime minister, and that he will be able to ease tensions in the near future. But opposition groups called the move a coup.

Protesters on Sunday night celebrated the news, with President Saied also joining a crowd in Tunis.
