Overseas: Ho Chi Minh City will use two more hospitals to treat Covid-19 patients as five of the nine buildings are almost full. Both hospitals will add 1,500 beds for Covid-19 treatment in the city.
According to VN Express, published on June 24, 2021, with 500 beds, Binh Chanh Hospital in Binh Chanh District will be renovated into a new building for Covid-19 treatment. It is scheduled to begin receiving patients Friday.
Another hospital selected for this plan is Thu Duc General Hospital in Thu Duc.
It is expected that from next Monday, the hospital will stop operating its treatment unit for other diseases and only provide consulting services.
The 1,000 beds in the hospital will be used to treat Covid-19 patients, including children. With the current 3,500 beds, Ho Chi Minh City will have a total of 5,000 for the Covid-19 treatment.
